Artissima 2026

A Gentil Carioca presents, at Stand 13, Hall: Pink A, a selection of works that engages in dialogue with this edition's theme, “Fancy: A Flexible, Acrobatic Body”. Stemming from this central question, our presentation proposes exploring the imagination and the corporeal as critical and political tools, highlighting art's capacity to expand our perception of the world and our understanding of diverse experiences.

The assembled group of works sets in motion an exercise of thought, inviting the public to reflect on the present, glimpse possible futures, and draw closer to the cultural complexities that traverse us. By placing artistic creation at the center of collective dialogue, the experience leads us to recognize the value of the other’s perspective, demonstrating that to imagine is also an act of openness and sensitivity.
