For the 2026 Art Basel Paris, A Gentil Carioca (Booth A4) is pleased to present the theme "Dreams and Nightmares". Dream is a vast territory, where forms expand freely and the logic of everyday life dissolves. Dreaming is not an escape, but the construction of worlds we choose to believe in. Worlds that may, at times, turn into the nightmares of our own constructions. We seek to present works where the dream assumes multiple forms and scales, becoming a political matter and a confrontation to imagine other forms of living, refusing what is given and persisting in struggle.manifesto on the body, power, and the possibility of constructing other ways of seeing.
