Ana Luiza Domicent (Curitiba, Brasil 1978)

[Ana Luiza Domicent (Curitiba, Brasil 1978)
Ana Luiza’s works are marked by with a sense of compulsion. Her voluptuous figures move between the grotesque, sexuality, and fetish, carrying a strong subjective charge. By articulating lines, volumes, anthropomorphic figures, monsters, and clothing codes associated with power and consumption, the artist creates forms that intertwine, forming a single pulsating mass.

"The face hides as if behind a mask. Features dissolve into the pale blue of the watercolor, constructing the image through thin layers washed with water. Onto this pictorial skin, oil is applied, overlapping and adding yet another layer—the linseed oil. From this facture, a metaphor emerges: painting as a skincare ritual."]
