Rodrigo Torres | Água mole em pedra dura | Galeria rhinoceros

 The artist Rodrigo Torres opens the solo exhibition Água mole em pedra dura (Little strokes fell great oaks), a collaboration between A Gentil Carioca and the Italian gallery rhinoceros, in Rome. Conceived during an artistic residency held between c.r.e.t.a, the city's ceramic arts reference center, and the gallery, the show brings together a new body of work developed especially for the occasion and marks the artist's first solo exhibition in Italy.

The series takes as its starting point the relationships between matter, time, and transformation. In dialogue with the landscapes of Rio de Janeiro and Rome, the artist investigates the forces of construction and erosion that run through both nature and culture, inviting reflection on what the earth produces, preserves, and inevitably reclaims.
