Nesse processo, algo é trazido à tona apenas após ter sido soterrado, como se sua existência dependesse, primeiro, do apagamento.

The selection of works presented by Jean Deffense brings together a body of research focused on the possible tensions between materials whose dialogue is usually limited. By tinting resin with oil paint and interposing layers of tissue paper over wood, the artist seeks to construct his work through superimposition. In this process, something is brought to the surface only after having been buried, as if its existence first depended on erasure.]
