[Seeking to dissect the banal, Agrade Camíz reveals deep and almost secret layers through compositions that move between figuration, abstraction, and geometry, challenging established visual narratives. Drawing on signs from popular housing structures, she redefines spaces and concepts, creating new possible places. Her work is marked by a particular density, in which visual and symbolic layers reflect the chaos and intimacies of the territories she traverses — whether geographic or bodily. The notions of displacement and friction gain dimension in (Date) Falha tectônica, when the artist writes: “Our bodies sometimes meet like tectonic plates in friction, shifting landscapes. In proximity, our bodies also invent earthquakes. An encounter that happens within the fault.”]
