["Nest 1" explores the intersection between domestic intimacy and artistic expression through the materials it is made of: old crocheted cloths of diverse origins. In addition to transcending its conventional decorative function, the work becomes a narrative of interwoven memories and affections. The rebar support, initially meant for plants, is embraced by the weave, symbolizing the involvement of sewing as a foundation of the home. In the work, the presence of eggs resonates with the essence of life and its eternal creation, aligning itself with the choice for the work’s title, which suggests an intrinsic connection to the concept of home and adds a meaningful layer to the work by evoking the idea of a nest as a space of origin and protection.]
