"Lua versus Luta, projeto de Jarbas Lopes, abre um espaço de experimentação, jogo e risco que não impõe limites. Arte e vida aqui estão entrelaçadas e tudo parece ser construído caminhando, conversando, brincando, respirando: um processo de criação contínua. A pulsão de vida dirige as ações que se desenvolvem numa constante improvisação, ramificação e recusa de qualquer determinação que possa congelar a obra numa única direção. Performance, maquetes, esculturas, pinturas elásticas, projetos utópicos e desenhos parecem ser concebidos em um mesmo movimento onde o corpo ocupa o lugar central. Mais do que cada objeto tomado separadamente, são as relações tecidas entre os objetos e as ações, entre o individual e o social, que dão sentido à obra. Lua/Luta, figura quiasmática, abre um espaço que acolhe, busca um ponto de interseção entre a arte e a política. Lua como metáfora da arte e da vida que consegue transcender a realidade, Luta como enfrentamento dessa mesma realidade. Juntar
duas figuras tão opostas cria um novo espaço de reflexão e de propostas. Mas a Lua é também esse satélite que influencia a Terra e exerce uma força gravitacional."

Art and life here are intertwined and everything seems to be built walking, talking, playing, breathing: a process of continuous creation. life drive directs the actions that develop in a constant improvisation, branching and refusal of any determination that could freeze the work in a single direction. Performance, models, sculptures, elastic paintings, utopian projects and drawings seem to be conceived in the same movement where the body occupies a central place. More than each object taken separately, it is the relationships woven between objects and actions, between the individual and the social, that give meaning to the work. Lua/Luta, a chiasmatic figure, opens a space that welcomes , seeks a point of intersection between art and politics. Moon as a metaphor of art and life that manages to transcend reality, Struggle as a confrontation of this same reality.
