Em 2019, no afã de compreender o momento que se anunciava após a eleição de Jair Bolsonaro, Ana Linnemann lia freneticamente os jornais tentando confirmar a realidade de uma experiência de destituição. Ao olhar as páginas que descreviam esse novo país e, à procura de algum sentido no meio daquele vazio, procurava palavras ocultas entre notícias que as contradiziam. Nas linhas impressas, ia encontrando as letras que poderiam formar as palavras igualdade e liberdade. Ampliava então a área, e bordava no próprio papel as letras escolhidas.
Esses trabalhos foram chamados "Exercício para achar igualdade" e "Exercício para achar liberdade" e encontraram em cadernos a sua forma final.
Em 2020, de novo sob o domínio do espanto, a pandemia reativou um frenesi semelhante. A partir do símbolo da igualdade (formado por 2 traços repetidos que guardam essa noção em seu própria constituição), começou a convocar relações de igualdade ou equivalência a partir de elementos próprios à prática de fazer arte.
Esses são os "Exercícios para achar igualdade", que começam a ser concluídos em 2021.

In 2019, in an effort to understand the moment that was announced after the election of Jair Bolsonaro, Ana Linnemann frantically read the newspapers trying to confirm the reality of the dismissal.
When looking at the pages that described this new country, while trying to find a way in the middle of that emptiness, she looked for hidden words among news that contradicted them. On the printed lines, she found the letters that could form the words equality and freedom. She then enlarged the area, and embroidered the chosen letters on the paper itself. These works were called Exercises to Find Equality and Exercises to Find Freedom, and found their final form in notebooks.
In 2020, under the yoke of dismay, the Covid-19 pandemic strengthened a similar frenzy. From the symbol of equality (formed by 2 repeated lines that keep this notion in its own constitution), it began to call for relations of equality or equivalence from elements proper to the practice of making art.
These are the Exercises to find equality, which begin to be concluded in 2021.
