[In this series of works, Ana Silva chooses water as the central axis of her reflection: by addressing its scarcity in the most vulnerable communities, she underlines the persistence of this structural problem on the African continent.
The artist’s creative process begins with photographs of everyday life, most often taken in Angola. Inspired by these images, she firstly draws onto the previously prepared canvas by painting and applying color, and then completes her work with embroidery, featuring sequins, pigments, and other materials.]
