"Todas as existências podem conquistar mais realidade, mais brilho, mais significados. Mas isso só é possível se antes de tudo tivermos a capacidade de reconhecê-las. Esse trabalho começou com o encontro desta folha de coqueiro em umas das minhas caminhadas. Uma folha seca caiu e lá ficou... Recolhi e fiquei um tempo com ela no ateliê. Observei seu formato, sua textura e bordei um desenho que se encaixava nesse movimento já existente. O desenho segue a horizontalidade da folha que é quebrado com um pendente de sementes.
O bordado mistura lã e barbante reciclado. O título da peça veio da música “Aquarela do Brasil”. Assim como a folha, o verso com reticências fez sentido para mim porque pode ser completado de diversas maneiras..." - Naia Ceschin

["All existences can acquire more reality, more brightness, more meanings. But that is only possible if, before anything else, we have the ability to recognize them. This work started when I found this palm leaf on one of my walks. The dry leaf fell and there it remained… I picked it up and kept it in my studio for a while. I observed its shape and texture, and embroidered a drawing on it that fit in this already existing movement. The drawing follows the horizontality of the leaf, which is broken by a seed pendant. The embroidery combines wool and recycled string. Its title came from the song Aquarela do Brasil. Just like the leaf, the verse ending in ellipsis made sense to me because it can be finished in many different ways." Naia Ceschin]
