Na obra “Chão” José Bento utiliza a madeira como principal elemento para a criação de uma narrativa surreal, onde uma fenda aparece centralizada na camada de madeira taqueada que compõe o trabalho. O artista cria um universo próprio acerca do conjunto de suas obras intituladas “Chão” e em diálogo com esse ambiente por ele criado, surge uma recriação de caráter fantástico, dessa vez em menor tamanho e com um corte surpresa sobre a rígida superfície da escultura.

In the work “Chão” José Bento uses wood as the main element for the creation of a surreal narrative, where a cut appears centralized in the layer of wood that composes the work. The artist creates his own universe about the set of his works entitled “Chão” and in dialogue with this environment created by him, a fantastic character recreation appears, this time in a smaller size and with a surprise crack on the rigid surface of the sculpture.
