“Monocultura”, palavra que dá nome a essa proposição, aponta para um sentir-pensar a arte como algo dentro de uma estrutura social, ecológica e nunca alheia. Trazer palavras, nesse sentido, está relacionado a um processo de tentar dizer do irrepresentável e do indizível, possibilitar que essas palavras aqui elegidas possam ganhar novas significações a partir também de novos arranjos, muito mais do que uma experiência no âmbito do meramente teórico, ainda que também o seja.
Nesse processo de imaginar curas para uma paisagem que sangra, resolvi colocar palavras e ao mesmo tempo desmontá-las, quebrá-las em pedaços. Monocultura é uma dessas, a que se refere ao sistema de exploração do solo com especialização em um só produto, como definida no dicionário, mas também é unicultura, e regime político de subjetivação de um. Assim como o regime de plantation cartografa na carne, e não só, em nossas geografias e no inventar o fora.

"Monoculture", the word that gives its name to this proposition, points to a feeling-thinking of art as something within a social, ecological and never a distant structure. To bring words, in this sense, is related to a process of trying to say the unrepresentable and the unspeakable, to make it possible for these words chosen here to gain new meanings from new arrangements, much more than a merely theoretical experience, even if it is one.
In this process of imagining cures for a landscape that bleeds, I decided to use words and at the same time dismantle them, break them into pieces. Monoculture is one of these, the one that refers to the system of exploitation of the soil with specialization in a single product, as it is defined in the dictionary, but it is also uniculture, and a political regime of the subjectivation of one. Just as the plantation regime cartographs the flesh, and not only, in our geographies and invention of the outside.
