Inspirada no filme Moonlight, a série homônima integra a investigação contínua de Miguel Afa sobre a paternidade. Por meio dela, o artista reexamina temas como o afeto, a masculinidade e as vivências periféricas, refletindo sobre as estruturas sociais e subjetivas que atravessam essas relações - e que reverberam em sua própria prática artística. "Nuvens" faz parte do conjunto de pinturas desenvolvidas para a exposição Um céu para caber, em que Afa investiga, através da pintura, os contornos e expansões do amor: suas formas, ausências e possibilidades. [Inspired by the film Moonlight, the homonymous series is part of Miguel Afa’s ongoing investigation into fatherhood. Through it, the artist revisits themes such as affection, masculinity, and life in peripheral communities, reflecting on the social and subjective structures that shape these relationships - and that also resonate within his own artistic practice. "Nuvens" (Clouds) is part of the set of paintings created for the exhibition Um céu para caber (A Sky to Hold), in which Afa explores, through painting, the contours and expansions of love: its forms, absences, and possibilities.
