Miguel Afa opens his solo exhibition Il tempo che vive in me at the Italian gallery rhinoceros in Rome. The paintings were conceived and produced during an artistic residency at the space, specifically for this exhibition, and will be presented for the
first time.

The series reflects Afa’s everyday experiences in Rio de Janeiro and Rome, exploring the relationships between life, memory, and place. As the artist states, “Memory is a body: longing is a backyard,” evoking an affective territory where memories, experiences, and desires converge.
