Nos útlimos sete anos, diversos municípios brasileiros vêm promovendo campanhas anti-ruído que têm como principal inimigo o som automotivo, os “pancadões” de porta-malas - grandes sistemas de som modificados que se alimentando da própria bateria do carro - e são como festas ambulantes e imprevisíveis para as regulações que se aplicam a imóveis e estabelecimentos comerciais. Muitas vezes, os sistemas de som são apreendidos e destruídos em demonstrações públicas, como forma de “dar exemplo” à população sobre as consequências do desobedecimento à lei.

“Impróprio” refez ficcionalmente uma dessas demonstrações públicas de destruição de soundsystems em meio a uma festa estilo "rolezinho" com três carros "tunados" com sistemas de som convidados pela artista e estacionados nas proximidades da Praça da Alfândega. Pegos de surpresa, o público experimentou em curto espaço de tempo o lazer no espaço público e a violência da máquina. Ao final da performance, os restos dos sistemas de som foram recolhidos e dispostos na galeria do Memorial do Rio Grande do Sul.


Over the last 7 years, several Brazilian municipalities have been promoting anti-noise campaigns that have as their main target the automotive sound systems: big modified trunk sound systems that feed on the car battery. These are nomad party machines and completely unpredictable for the regulations that apply to real estate and commercial establishments. Often, these sound systems are seized and destroyed in public demonstrations as a way of "giving an example" to the population about the consequences of disobeying the law.

Caccuri’s performance "Inappropriate" fictionally remakes one of these public demonstrations of destruction of sound systems in the midst of a street party powered by three tuned cars with trunk sound systems invited by the artist and parked in the vicinity of the Praça da Alfândega in Porto Alegre, South Brazil. Taken by surprise, the public experienced in a short time both leisure in the public space and the violence of the machine. At the end of the performance, the remains of the sound systems were collected and arranged at the gallery of the Memorial of Rio Grande do Sul.
