[Eucalyptus in the Forest, Almond tree in the city, are sound spectrums written in Braille on two steel plates. Both plants are are non-native trees in Brazil. It is said that the eucalyptus tree was introduced to meet railroad demand, and the almond tree was brought to Rio de Janeiro by the invasion of Portuguese ships, as it was used as a counterweight. Here I bring both, one located in the forest, and the other in the city, trying to translate through sound and image, the levels of complexity that both carry in relation to the habitat.

Work developed during the artistic residency Cidade-Floresta (2022). Supported by the Goethe Institut, Swissnex and Pro Helvetia South America.]
