Quando me mudei para o bairro, foi quando surgiu a COVID. Era Fevereiro e quando chegou junho alguns vizinhos que conheci me falavam e lamentavam. Não aconteceria a famosa festa...
Quando me mudei para o bairro, foi quando surgiu a COVID. Era Fevereiro e quando chegou junho alguns vizinhos que conheci me falavam e lamentavam. Não aconteceria a famosa festa da rua. Aliás, eram duas festas, quarteirão de cima em um dia e quarteirão de baixo no outro. Ali um lutava para fazer a melhor festa que outro. Era um grande evento. Dois anos difíceis passaram e eu finalmente conheci o Arraial da Guaiamu.
When I moved to the neighbourhood, that's when COVID broke out. It was February and when June arrived, some of the neighbours I knew told me about it and lamented. There wouldn't be the famous street party. In fact, there were two parties, upstairs one day and downstairs the next. There, one neighbour fought to make the party better than the other. It was a big event. Two difficult years passed and I finally got to know Arraial da Guaiamu.
