Representa uma síntese do pensamento do diretor, uma luta permanente entre a construção e a destruição do conceito de arte ('arte scar'), na busca de um equilíbrio. Concebido como um poema visual, Gerchman começou a construir as grandes esculturas de palavras em 1971. Estes elementos visuais, formando palavras-conceitos (em português e em inglês) conjugados com os elementos fundamentais -terra, água, fogo, ar - estão ligados aos arquétipos do Homem e são os personagens do filme.

It represents a synthesis of the director's thinking, a permanent struggle between the construction and destruction of the concept of art ('scar art'), in search of a balance. Conceived as a visual poem, Gerchman began to build the large sculptures of words in 1971. These visual elements, forming word-concepts (in Portuguese and in English) combined with the fundamental elements -earth, water, fire, air - are linked to the archetypes of Man and are the characters in the film.
