Quando Laura Lima começou a rascunhar o projeto para um trabalho que se chamaria "Cinema Shadow", o processo aconteceu colecionando imagens, dobrando papéis, fazendo screenshots de cenas de filmes, anotando ideias, juntando pequenos objetos, referências. Com o tempo percebeu que todo aquele grupo configurava um léxico particular, que dizia respeito a um filme específico que estava em sua mente, e como que roteirizado naquela mancha de pequenos quadros montados de maneira algo peculiarmente organizado na parede. Os filmes que ganharam a configuração de Footnotes, ou Notas de Rodapé, não necessariamente chegaram a ser realizados como audiovisual. Mas nada impede que um dia, a partir deste roteiro, um filme seja feito, pela artista ou por quem quer que seja.
Nas obras da série, podem ser vistas as anotações de um filme que ainda não existe. As informações são percorridas erraticamente, como um roteiro de um filme que ainda não existe.
As Notas de Rodapé são conjuntos de objetos variados, anotações e fotografias que compõem notas para um filme ou um Balé que ainda não existem, mas que se compõem imaginariamente na cabeça do espectador ao olhar a obra.
When Laura Lima started to draft a project that would be called "Cinema Shadow," the process involved collecting images, bending papers, taking screenshots of movies, writing down ideas, assembling objects, and references. After some time, she realized that the group of things altogether configured a particular lexicon as if a movie running through her mind. The script is the stain, peculiarly organized on the wall. Not all of them became visual movies, but some of them became the series "Footnotes."
When looking at the works from the series, one can see the actual footnotes of a movie that does not yet exist. One can erratically go trough the pieces of information, as a script not yet written.
Footnotes are a gathering of various objects, annotations and photographs that compose notes for a film or a Ballet that do not yet exist, but that are imaginary in the viewer's mind when looking at the work.
