“A Spell to Ward Off the Darkness (Um Feitiço para Espantar a Escuridão)” is a large installation project designed by Vivian Caccuri during her research "Ode ao Triângulo" that investigates the religious quality of the triangle and its multiple identity. A musical instrument that has its origins in ancient Egypt, the triangle has gained new roles in popular culture over time, moving away from the sacred circumstances of history. Inspired by works from the baroque period, Brazilian modernism and contemporary periods, the artist designed a sculpture suspended from the ceiling, which is composed of materials such as metal, polyester threads, wool, steel drumsticks and percussion triangles, chosen according to the contrasts among religious meanings, volumes in balance, geometry as a synthesis of human feeling in multiverse combinations.
