Mariana Rocha

Mariana Rocha is a visual artist and teacher. She has a degree in Visual Arts from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (2013) and a Master degree in Visual Arts from the same institution (2021). Her artwork addresses issues related to the body, memory and the feminine, in pieces that lie at the intersections between drawing and painting, performance and photography. In her research, she investigates the existence of a sea within her own body, understanding both as comparable universes in their compositions and abyssal depths, as well as weaving relationships with marine fauna, especially with animals classified as molluscs.
