Antes associada ao modo de vida dos traficantes nas favelas do Rio, a descoloração do cabelo foi incorporada à moda e a cultura popular, se tornando mais um símbolo de resistência e estética da identidade periférica. O lavatório é uma obra usada numa das ações de descoloração global promovida pelo artista, remete a uma face sutil dessa cultura: o afeto do cuidado mútuo. Assim como o tanque batismal, o lavatório passa a fazer parte da semântica de uma mitologia própria que o artista vem criando.

Formerly associated with the way of life of traffickers in the favelas of Rio, hair bleaching was incorporated into fashion and popular culture, becoming yet another symbol of resistance and aesthetics of the peripheral identity. Lavatório is a work used in one of the global discoloration actions promoted by the artist, it refers to a subtle face of this culture: the affection of mutual care. Like the baptismal tank, the wash basin becomes part of the semantics of a mythology that the artist has been creating.
